Estrigen dominance does not block the receptyors, what it does is binds

thyroid wiht SHBG . BUT if your adrneals are better chances are VERY

good your estrogen levels are better now as well. Low cortisol causes

estrogen dominance so you may be just fine on the T3.

Hi Val,

Ok, thanks! So, theoretically (just so I understand this correctly!), if my

estrogen dominance has now been fixed (due to fixing my adrenals), then my free

T3 should be higher? (I am going to have it tested again in 2 weeks time just

before I go on T3.)

Thanks!

Hi Val,

Thank so much for your reply! So what you are saying is that my body may turn

any extra T3 that is freed by fixing the estrogen dominance, into RT3? My RT3

has increased since before I started all this adrenal stuff, but my T3 has

decreased a bit - could this be the correction of the estrogen dominance that's

occured?

Thanks!

The RT3 rising and FT3 falling is not because of estrogen. Two separate

things BUT both high estrogen and high T3 cause high SHBG which BINDS

mroe estrogne and T3 making less of both availabnle to the body.
