Guest guest
Hi there, I am almost ready to start T3 and I am very nervous as I have never been on thyroid meds! I am wondering how often I should have thyroid labs done during the 12 weeks? I am worried about my Free T3 going too high - seen a few people on here who that's happened to! Thanks! Guest guest
thyroid is quite easy to track at home wiht temps and pulse checking so just when you need reassurance thogh on T3 onyl the high levels may scare you! LOL Where I feel best and have been for abotu a year now is 6.2 with top of the range 4.2. My FT4 is generally .26 and TSH .015 If these numbers scare you then don;t test! Guest guest
Hi Val, Oh my! Yes, those numbers would probably freak me out! I am already freaking out a bit just thinking about them...lol! The thing I am worried about is thyrotoxicosis - what if I have a really high Free T3 when my RT3 clears? I mean, I know I can go hyper for a bit, but what if my Free T3 is EXCEPTIONALLY high when it clears?! That is what I am afraid of! (insert worried smiley here!!). Should I be worried about this? > > thyroid is quite easy to track at home wiht temps and pulse checking so > just when you need reassurance thogh on T3 onyl the high levels may > scare you! Guest guest
Thyroptoxicosis is onyl dangerous when PROLONGED. a FEW hours of high T3 levels is nto going ot cause major damage! When it becomes a problem is when it is caused by high T4! Thsi si because high T4 takes WEEKS to lower instead of the 24 hours it takes to lower T3 levels. I was on 250mcg a day when my RT3 cleared. I was shaky and irritable for A day ONE day, and of course I noticed and cut the dose WAY down to 50mcg. The very next day I was hypo again but it took abotu 2 weks of tweaking the dose fromthat poitn to adjust it a the effects are IMMEDIATE once the Rt3 clears. Immediate hypo from lowering too much and immediate hyper form too much so it is EASY to adjust once receptotrs are clear, -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
