Hi Ed,

No butting in with me. The more I can learn and gather the better. I have had this problem for quite some time now and discussed it on this forum back in Oct. 2009. I was being told to check my SHBG levels. I had these levels checked about three years ago well before I started any T3 only or Bio-identical hormones and they were fine. I finally talked my Dr. into checking my levels and low and behold I have this out of range number on the high side. I have been on Testoesterone creams, compounded oral in the past and now pellets for about a year and a half with not much change. It has been very frustrating for me and have not been able to gain any muscle and have minimal change in libido. I welcome any information that can be helpful and I'm grateful for your "butting in". When I did bring this question up in

Oct.2009 I had one poster (mary.curtin--ripit08) suggest a product called "Unleashed". I ordered this last night but am a bit leary of the product since I don't know that much about it. It is supposed to help reduce SHBG levels. I'm hoping that this will allow the binded Testosterone to be able to get into the cell....at least that's what it says it does. I would appreciate any information that you come across in your search. Have you heard anything, good or bad about this product?? Please keep me posted on your findings. I can't help but thing there is some connection the the RT3 situation as well. I am much better on straight T3 but still not where other's seem to be when they finally reach that 90-100% zone.

Thanks,

>Her comments: "Your aldosterone levels (24.3) were elevated which is consi=>stent with being on hormones which can change the accuracy of the results. =>However, your T3 is way too high at 6.2. You must decrease your dose becaus=>e this explains why you feel like the testosterone pellets are wearing off.=> The elevated T3 is going into the same pathways as the testosterone and is=> blocking the absorption thus raising your aldosterone, sex hormone binding=> globulin are elevated (111.3) which are also blocking the effectiveness of=> the testosterone and estrogen.>"We must add back T4 to get you back on track and this will help your pelle=>ts last much longer."=20Pardon me for sorta butting in, but this controversy has

been ragingon musclechatroom. com, and the people there don't have legitimateresearch data. It's possible there is none.If that is FT3 above ... FT3=6.2 is NOT too high for T3-only therapy. However, the consistently high FT3 level caused by T3-only therapy issuspected of causing high SHBG. I have been on T3-only therapy forabout 1 year (current dose 62.5 mcg/day), and I have SHBG=72 nmol/L(range 10-60). I've been debating with the folks on MCR what to doabout this. The answer I've mostly seen is go on T3+T4, although somehave advocated therapy with herbals like nettle extract and avenasativa.I'll post further info about this if I come across anything convincing.
