Guest guest
About 18 days ago I believe my rt-3 cleared. I was on 160 generic cytomel (increased dosage since December) I became very anxious, blood pressure and pulse went up. I followed Nick's protocol and settle in to a dose of 15mcg's cytomel. Just 4 days before it cleared, I had had a blood draw. My results: TSH .010 (.450-4.5) T-4 1.3 (4.5-12.0) T-3 187 (71-180) Ferritin 84 Rt-3 0.24 (6.7-21.8)- the lab ran it three times and called my because they could not believe I got it so low from my last test of 12.68. They wanted to know how I did it. My temperature is around 97 (up from 95) but has never been normal. I was feeling great- so much energy! But the last 4 days I have been feeling a bit tired again. Not horribly, but I am not feeling as well/energized as I was. I am also craving sweets. I will be 49 in May and have not had a period since Sept. Do you think I need more t-3? I am still taking iron and rhodiola rosea and vit-D and other vitamins. Please advise. I do NOT want to go backwards!

Guest guest
Val, I spent about 3 days feeling hyper and not tolerating the cytomel. Could my adrenals do this for 3 days? So it sounds like I should starting increasing my cytomel? I will go in and have blood work done again and get a FT-3 done as well. I thought 160 mcg of cytomel (generic) would have been enough. I ramped up for 3 months. I thank you for you insight! > > T-4 1.3 (4.5-12.0) > T-3 187 (71-180) > > I would need a FT3 to really know where you are at btu you wer NOT hyper > with these labs.
