To know if you have an autoimmune issue you need to have testing done to look for antibodies. To answer your question though, not all thyroid disease is autoimmune It could be weak adrenal function, low ferritin <stored iron>, or any of the things on the sttm site... Yes, I take 75mcg of T3, I have been for about a year now. I had Rt3 when I was on Armour but stopped taking that one year ago. You actually have some antibodies... Are you on thyroid hormones now? The idea with thyroid meds and hashimoto's is to supress the thyroid enough that their aren't any antibodies. They explain that a bit better on the STTM site. I've been on thryoid meds for a while now but I still don't understand a lot of it, but I keep trying to figure it out. There is so much to learn.
