It is always best to try to keep doses as even as possible so I would

stick wiht the 25mcg today and just split it inot your usual dose times.

BUT expect to go hypo ina coupe days and need ot slowly titrate it back

up as thta is a VREY low dose and I doubt was true hyper btu intolerance.

Thanks so much, Val. When you have time, could you briefly explain the difference between hyper and intolerance? I don't think I've heard you mention intolerance before.

You had told me yesterday that the symptoms likely came from the fact that I'd increased my HC dose about a week ago--before that increase I hadn't had enough cortisol for the T3 to get into the cells so it had pooled in the blood. Then with the HC increase there was suddenly enough cortisol and an excess of T3 suddenly went into the cells. That made perfect sense.

When cortisol is not right and or iron is not right and suddenly ther

eis alot more T3 intrduced ot the cells, INtolerance sympotms happen.

Usually it is anxiety, palpitation, rapid pulse, pounding heart,

shakiness and a general feelign of discomfort and unwellness. It i

differnt form true hyperthyroid in thta the symptoms can come & go

quickly and there is adrenaline involved making them feel MUCH worse

than hyperthyroid would.

so how do we distinguish between true hyperthyroid (as in needing to reduce medicine ) and symptoms due to an intolerance of t3 due to cortisol or ferritin etc?
