Guest guest
We use MSM almost every day. It is no easy fix for us but it is healthy for you. The brand I have is very bitter when you get past a certain amount and I take two teaspoons a day most days. Do NOT give it to you child after lunch unless you want to stay up all night with him/her. I forgot and gave some to my husband at night and he couldn't figure out why he could not sleep. When I realized what I had done, I didn't bother to mention it to him. I copied a portion of text from the site http://www.sullivancreek.com/MSM.htm >>>THE KEY TO Msm's EFFECTIVENESS!!! Sulfur is the eighth most common element in your body. It is found in virtually every cell. When sulfur is present in the body in the proper form it functions to keep cell tissues permeable and prevents them from hardening. This is CRITICAL to the proper functioning of your immune system!!! With a loss of permeability your lymph system cannot function properly. When this permeability is restored - via MSM - your lymphatic system can work the way it is supposed to work, and it helps your body cleanse itself of the toxins and damaged tissues that result from free radical damage, pollution from a multitude of sources, viruses, bacteria, parasites, etc....>>>>> I think the MSM from Kirkman's is suppose to be better tasting than most. I have not tried it yet. I distribute Evan's through all this drinks for the day. That way it doesn't taste so bitter in one glass and it does not seem to bother his sleep. The reason it bothers some people sleep is that it boosts your energy level. It also detoxes and helps with us old folks joint problems and aches and pains. You younger people probably don't need that. lol Those with FMS might find it interesting that MSM is suppose to help with that but you need to take it by the teaspoon and not just small capsules. Be sure when you buy it that it is not full of fillers. Good MSM will NOT float. Fillers float. Good MSM will dissolve in your water or juice. IF you are taking it in a liquid orange juice is best. It helps cover up the taste. Kirkmans might put some filler in theirs to make it sweet but some companies put a filler in to stretch it. I have a book on MSM but I let my sister borrow it and she is still studying it. It was a very interesting book. We have used it for over a year and I always keep it on hand. There is a MSM list on Yahoo. Some of those people swear by it. But do NOT take lots of it at once or the detox might make you sicker. Take it slow and go up, just like you do with some of the meds or supplements for your kids. 1/4 teaspoon is a normal dose for kids but it depends on your problem. Guest guest
The company I ordered my last from is no longer at their old web site. The one I am ordering from now is. http://www.msm-msm.com/ 1.1 pound $12.50 plus free shipping with first order. I belong to the MSM club at Yahoo (http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/msmclub) and others on the list have said their products are good. This is for myself and husband. I also ordered some of their Ester-C Tablets which is suppose to be a very good form of vitamin c. We order the powder and I fill capsules for my dear husband and . Evan will not take capsules yet so I put the powder in his juice. I take 2 tsp. myself. For Evan and I have ordered from www.kirkmanlabs.com their hypoallergenic MSM powder 8 oz $20.00. I think it is suppose to taste better and that way I can get them to take more. My grown daughter is taking a tsp. of MSM and three capsules a day of Pau D'Arco to keep down her yeast overgrowth while still taking antibiotics for an infected tooth. She has had problems with the yeast bothering her eyes for the last three years and we just got her to try this. Her eyes are not cured but they are the best that she can remember in years. Actually they were better but she went back on the antibiotics because of the infection. Hopefully the tooth will come out next week IF the infection is gone.
