Guest guest
Dear , I thought I would butt in on this one:). In my 11 years of nursing I have only seen one person get any kind of infection with a G or J tube. It was just a site infection and only needed antibiotic ointment and good, frequent site care to clear up. Central line infections are so much riskier because they are going into the circulatory system and can spread bacteria anywhere including the heart. I hope you are feeling better, . Things have been so rough for you, you deserve a break!

Guest guest
Dear , Hey! how are you doing these days? I am about the same since I got out of the hospital last week, just taking it slow and easy. in answer to your question about infections with the J-tube, I have never had that problem with this like I did with my picc line. You just flush it and keep it clean and it takes care of itself, Well I'll write more later my friend!
