Guest guest
I was on methotrexate and celebrex for years until I moved to the DC area and saw Dr Gabe Mirkin. He got me off those 2 heavy duty drugs and put me on minocycline. I was deeply grateful. After 4 years on the antibiotic and feeling terrific, I asked him if I could stop taking the antibiotic. I felt that I was cured. Big mistake. At the same time, I was on a low dose of bioidentical hormones. I paid for a consultation with a PHD in pharmacology who said I was low in estrogen and he suggested a much higher dose. I graduated up to his dosage and within 2-3 months I broke a tooth that had an old mercury filling. It was almost instanteous...my body was attacked. I went from feeling terrific to flat on my back. Looking back I feel that the dosage for estrogen was far too much. I won't go into all that transpired the last 3+ years except to say that I am allergic to minocycline now. My question is whether this is a mycoplasma, a retrovirus, or some other critter that is yet unknown or is RA a function of bad nutrition, allergic reactions, and/or a permeable gut?
