Hi all!

So the ball is rolling on my paper, gonna schedule a chat with two

professors here as well as with Sally.

I. Butter Oil

Anyway, I wanted to ask: does anyone know where I can buy the Price-like

yellow butter oil? Ghee is heated, so there goes that, but any other ideas?

II. The Sun

Also, I just got back from Grenada. After thinking the sun was evil for so

long, I got my first real tan in about two years. I feel so well and

energized, and about 10 different people have already commented that I look

lovely with this new color. How could this be bad for us? Granted, I have

some beach-loving relatives who look like 80 year-old leather men and

women, but... Since it does take a couple of years to transform one's

body from bad fats to good fats (now that I adore saturated fats, including

coconut oil), does that mean that 3 years from now I can purposefully tan

and enjoy the sun? I feel all giddy knowing that for the first time in

years, i feel *allowed* to tan. Does this mean I can allow myself to get

really dark this summer? I am naturally fair, but when I was a kid (and my

parents never gave us sunscreen), I would turn a lovely golden brown...

Ramit :)

p.s. As for the brain-fogged new-mothers, I'm with all of you that it must

be diet, stress, or something equally avoidable. That said, the

generalization is the sort that I would avoid like the plague!!! None of

the women I know have acted so.

As far as the comment about needing docile, lazy mothers (eeeew), I have a

hard time imagining that in societies where all people's labor is utilized

(be they the " primitive " or agricultural societies of old or ones today

where many women choose to return to their jobs immediately), that they can

afford to have a huge segment of the population " lounging " . If anything,

you hear about how in some cultures, women had their babies and were back

to working their fields the next day.
