I wish you luck h! I agree that wheat and dairy are pervasive. I

have always wondered how people do it who are on a gluten and/or

casien free diet do it. How do you eat out, in an emergency, at

potlucks, at someones house...? How do you plan and pack meals? Do you

ever make exceptions? I basically did this for about 3 months over the

summer when I lost my weight (and I felt GREAT by the way). So it can

be done, but I will have to admit it was really difficult from a

management standpoint. I would be interested in updates from you.

Hi Folks,  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Wherever and whichever

country you live in,  there is always something to be thankful for.  I read most

of the posts daily and I would like to ask a question.  When you are all talking

about trying different things and telling whether they work or not and what the

doc's have to say, would it be alright to just add a note to which disease we

are talking about at the moment.  There are so many Rheumatic diseases and not

all therapies apply.  It could get confusing sometimes to know if one should try

something that maybe could be contraindicated for their specific disease.  I

know it would clear it up for me.  Thank you all very much for all the input.

Hi folks,

i have not posted muchsinc eschool started...seems like by the time i

get through my work day and dinner, I just go to bed. We had my 86 year

old parents here for the week and that was time consuming. We drove up

and picked them up the Saturday before Thanknsgiving and then brought

them back yesterday... about 7 hours each trip.

My new doc does not think mino is going to work for me. his view is 100

mg MWF shoudl do it. But he supported my increasing the dosage.

We'll see....He is convinced that it is yeast that is my issue. He did

recommend a wheat and dairy free diet and anti fungals and super

vitamins and Myers cocktail (IV vitamins) he als has me on pregnenoline

(spelling?) I was having a flar and, since my parenst were coming down

and needed to be taken care of, I am back on 20 mg of pred. I am on

hiatus from eth anti fungals until after the holidays.

I had never notice so many folks talking about gluten free. Do those

of you who avoid gluten also avoid dairy?

I try to avoid dairy (in addition to avoiding gluten). Milk substitutes

are easier for me (as there are many substitutes that are fairly

acceptable to me), but I still crave cheese. I seem to react to cheese

more than any other food.
