Guest guest
The problem wiht dosing T3 every 3 hours is it is cumulatve. Thsi works wiht HC dosing hwoich only lasts 2-5 hours, btu T3 is in your system alot longer than thta so you will be low in thyroid in the AM and then as the doses build on top of each other you will have MUCH huigher levels of T3 in your blood by evening. This si why I feel 4 times a dya os sufficient dosing for T3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Wow, thanks Val--this is a really big change from the way I've been doing it. Okay, I'll switch to 4 times a day. If I get up at 6:00 and go to bed at 9:00, I can dose every 5 hours and get in a total of 4 doses. Does every 5 hours sound good? Now that I'm at 40 mcg/day, I can dose 10 mcg at each of the 4 dosing periods. But what do I do tomorrow when I increase to 45 mcg? Should one of the four dosing periods be 15 mcg? Or should I divide the 5 mcg tab into 4 pieces, so that each of the 4 doses is 11.25 mcg? Thanks so much for your clarification. I had no idea about the cumulative effect of T3. That would explain why I've been feeling so different by late afternoon. Peggy Re: Nick--question re dosing schedule The problem wiht dosing T3 every 3 hours is it is cumulatve. Guest guest
Those are still tiny doses so you should be fine ot raise ne dose to 15mcg. I take mine at 5AM, 10am, 4PM and bedtime but thta is juts when it is convenient for me. As I am well optimized I not longer really need four doses but i am used to dosing thta way so i have continuesd it. I still dont; feel right even on a twice a day schedule so this is easiest for me. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Hi Val, The problem is what does one do when they have to take HC every 3 hours but t3 every 4 hours? This can get quite cumbersome, to say the least. :-( It is the reason I switched to SR T3, although I would prefer to go back to plain cynomel, but the dosing is so hard between that and HC. Guest guest
Take the T3 every 6 hours/. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
Thanks, Val. Unfortunately, I have tried that and that puts me at dosing only 3 times a day, which hasn't worked out very well in the past. I guess I will have to either stay on sr or just deal with the inconvenient dosing of taking HC and t3 at different times! > > Take the T3 every 6 hours/. > > -- > > http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://faqhelp.webs.com/ > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ >
Guest guest
>I guess I will have to either stay on sr or just deal with the inconvenient dosing of taking HC and t3 at different times! As long as the tablets will divide into a suitable portion that you can dose at the same time as the HC and get the right total daily dose there is no reason you can't take them together. For me spreading it thinly through the day works best, take more than 25 at a time and my adrenals can't cope and my temperature drops. Given well supported adrenals more at a time would work but the convenience of taking them at the same time has a lot going for it. If you can't divide it into even doses don't worry, just alternate high, low, high, low. high for instance Dose timing is one of those things that can help " fine tune " how you feel and is worth experimenting to find out what works for you Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
Hi kitty The saliver test was done details posted to the adrenal group. Thanks for the link - I will have a look. The doctor was helpful - but the specialist is a bit more difficult to deal with. Will see how the initial trial goes and see if I can get him to lift the dosing. Guest guest
Well, but I was responding to what Val said that taking every 3 hours is too much. Are you saying it's not too much if you take smaller doses every 3 hours? I've actually been taking the SR as it's so much easier to dose and leaves me freer to dose HC. It's been working just fine actually, but of course it is a lot more expensive than Cynomel, so would love to be able to switch over to Cynomel at some point if I can find a dosing schedule that works for me. > > >I guess I will have to either stay on sr or just deal with the inconvenient dosing of taking HC and t3 at different times! > > As long as the tablets will divide into a suitable portion that you > can dose at the same time as the HC and get the right total daily dose > there is no reason you can't take them together. > > For me spreading it thinly through the day works best, take more than > 25 at a time and my adrenals can't cope and my temperature drops. > Given well supported adrenals more at a time would work but the > convenience of taking them at the same time has a lot going for it. > > If you can't divide it into even doses don't worry, just alternate > high, low, high, low. high for instance > > Dose timing is one of those things that can help " fine tune " how you > feel and is worth experimenting to find out what works for you > > Nick > > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >
