Yes, I took Rifampin for 4 months in combo with mino and biaxin for Lyme/RA

and tolerated it well. Rifampin needs close monitoring of liver and pancreatic

enzymes, though, and side-effects include tangerine orange urine, dark

orange-tinted stools...and some people even have orange sweat or tears. I didn't

experience the last two. I was taking daily high doses, but would think

side-effects would be less if pulsed. To be honest, I was glad to come off it

and

switch to mino and zith.
