Guest guest
, Reading your story I have some things that stood out I want to comment on. Adrenal Rebuilder, I doubt, is enough for you since you don't even know how much cortisol is in it. You need cortisol if your adrenals are fatigued. What are the results of your old saliva test? Can you posts the results? Are those the tests that showed you with low adrenal function? I used Adrenal Rebuilder for 4 years. It never really did much after the first year but when I went off it I could really tell I was getting worse. However, it was cortisol I really needed and the small amount in AR helped, but it never got me well. If you want to stay with that, you should write to Dr. and ask him how much cortisol is in each tablet, as well as how much T3 and T4 since that formula contains pig thyroid so you ARE getting some thyroid hormones from it and need to know how much. Also, why the fat and carb blocker? Is it just to lose weight? With all your health issues, your weight should be the last concern and fat/carb blockers are never a healthy idea. Many of them lower cortisol which is the last thing you need if your adrenals are really badly fatigued. Health is more important than weight and when you get your body healthy again, I would bet the weight will come off. Your weight issues are likely caused by your thyroid. That fat blocker thing scares me based on based studies I have read, even the ones that don't lower cortisol. Your body needs good fats (especially adrenals) and you need good carbs too. If you are using a blocker, you are deprive cells of the nutrients they need. Your nutritionist should know better. What is the name of the blocker you are on? While the other things you are taking look good, the main thing I see lacking is you are not taking cortisol which means your adrenals and thyroid are never going to work optimally. Losing muscle mass is also a symptom of adrenal problems and cortisol can help that too, especially since you are already taking progesterone to help. So, I think you are doing a lot of good things to help yourself but are not being optimized until you get on cortisol, which will in turn help you optimize your thyroid meds and get your thyroid working better too (plus lose weight). As for tests, you need to have the saliva test for thyroid, adrenals (4 cortisol readings) and sex hormones. I also think aldosterone and renin tests would be a good idea since your doc seems open to testing. Also, what is the " vein issue " you refer to? I am curious because I have a lot of issues with my blood vessels too. Cheri -----Original Message----- Currently, I'm taking Wellbutrin 150mg SR am and pm Armour Thyroid 90 mg between 4:30 and 6pm so that it's an hour after and before food. I've increased it at times up to 105... and then brought it back down... I can usually tell what I need, but don't want to damage my heart... any truth to that fear? Dr. 's Adrenal Rebuilders, 2 tabs -3 x a day multi vitamin am and pm, pantothenic acid folic acid 2000 mg CLA 1000 mg evening primrose oil flax seed oil Just started Butcher's broom caps am and pm for a vein issue in my left leg, and massaging with Birchtree oil daily trying to avoid a plebectomy. Venistate/Horse Chestnut makes my heart race L glutamine for healthy gums Progesterone cream, Arbonne, 1 pump a day 1200 mg calcium I feel like a lab rat.... and my kitchen looks like a pharmacy... Also taking a fat and carb blocker under a nutritionists' care since July 07, and on a healthy diet that is similar to the zone. Is it possible to expect that I'll regain my 'normal' energy and be able to walk daily, do yoga, pilates, regain my strength, leanness, endurance, and get back to around 120 lbs? I gave up starvation diets for normal nutrition....and not willing to go back. Sorry this is so long....first time I've ever done this, and wanted to get it all said. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks, .
