Guest guest
In regards to the testing for MCTD, what about a positive result for anti-RNP and positive ssA? I was told that the anti-RNP showed MCTD and the ssA showed Sjorgens. I don't know much about this. I was always told I had polymyocytsis(sp). **************Need a new ride? Guest guest
Hi, Sheri: It is understandable to vent and you need not worry about that; we have all been there. I wonder about the diagnosis of MCTD in the first place. Have you had MHC testing? ie HLA B27 for AS; HLA B51 for Behcet's; HLA DR2/DR3 for SLE; HLA DR1/DR4 for RA. The chances are good, because of age of onset, that you do not have RA but a B27 disease process, instead. Did you have any traumatic incident (physical, especially) or was the onset insidious? Sometimes a thing as innocent as a 'stomach flu' can result in severe consequences, and a classic example is Reiter's Syndrome caused by Chlamydia and the RS later leads to a host of connective tissue-related conditions. The book by Zampieron, et al-- " Arthritis: An Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide, " can be very helpful, and even if you do not have any obvious digestive issues, the anti-candidiasis and anti- " other " elimination diets are a great place to begin unraveling the Gordian Knot of illnesses. You will find your answers; it sounds like you are sick enough to get well, HEALTH, onecrazywoman32 <onecrazywoman32@...> wrote: My name is Sheri Green and I was diagnoised with mixed connective tissue disorder in my early twenties. Guest guest
yes, to my knowledge, per DR Whitman, I am tested yearly for the anti-RNP for MCTD...to date, I am negative...I have SD and RA though but since the Anti-RNP has been negative, he tells me I do NOT have MCTD...I have RA and SD...Debbie Re: rheumatic I don't know who cares but I'm hoping someone does In regards to the testing for MCTD, what about a positive result for anti-RNP and positive ssA?
