Guest guest Posted March 5, 2002 Report Share Posted March 5, 2002 Hi all, I eat out at restaurants and non-NT homes often and I would love to get a better sense of what to avoid and/or choose off a menu to minimize the damage. I assume that when I eat out the produce and animal foods are not organic. I don't have any major health problems or allergies but here's what I've come up with so far: -Avoid things made with refined grains--choose the whole wheat bread from the basket, ask if they have brown rice, etc. -Try to avoid dessert, or if you must, choose the least-sugar laden thing on the menu (fresh fruit). Beyond that, I don't know which meats are the most contaminated or if it would be smarter to stick to veg. options (more pesticides there too....) Any and all ideas welcome!
