Guest guest
>On the website, you reference dosing every 3 hours. Since I now seem to be having more hypo symptoms, I feel it must be time to increase T3. Since the morning dose lasted only 3 hours, I'm thinking maybe I could take the 10 mcg SR T3 doses 12 hours apart as you suggested, but fill in every 3 hours with regular T3 at 5 mcg. Maybe that way I can slowly move into regular T3 at spaced intervals, and begin a program of steady increases, depending on symptoms. Does this sound feasible, or would you recommend a different approach? Thanks. Sounds feasible, if you overdose on ST it can take 12 hours or more to decay away, a slight overdose on regular and it's sunk to normal levels after 3 hours so the regular is more forgiving in that way. The other way of going is to take the SR more often so the levels build up more, take it every 8 hours instead of 12 and it tops up the blood levels more. Your choice which way to go, personally I prefer the regular as I find it much more forgiving of mistakes Pulse and temperature are the clue to whether you need or could tolerate an increase. The dosing page on the site has a link to things to watch for >Another reminder--I'm now also on 20 mg/day of HC, double my former inadequate dose. My insomnia is gone, and with an evening dose of SR T3 and 2.5 mg HC, I'm sleeping very well. Well, this changes things. I'll try again with the regular T3, beginning with 5 mcg every 4 hours, more often if my body says it needs more, as it certainly did today when I got so weak. I've filled a dosing bottle for tomorrow, so I'll start first thing in the a.m. >>The other way of going is to take the SR more often so the levels build up more, take it every 8 hours instead of 12 and it tops up the blood levels more. If things don't work out with the regular, I'll give the SR a try, with more frequent doses. So now at least I have two options. >>Pulse and temperature are the clue to whether you need or couldtolerate an increase. The dosing page on the site has a link to thingsto watch for I've monitored my pulse and temp every day and so far they stay about the same. I never have the rapid pulse I read some people complaining of--mine stays in the 60's. My temp is running slightly below normal, say 98.2-98.4, and that's what it usually does. So those things weren't really clues for me. What I'm experiencing is extreme fatigue, and when things get really bad, weakness, wobbly knees, like my legs are just going to give out. Increasing the T3 took care of the weakness, but so far the fatigue is unrelenting. If you have any thoughts about that, I'm eager to hear them. I'm on 20 mg/day of HC, spread out every 4 hours. My temps, though low, are fairly stable, which suggests my adrenals may not be the big problem. So I don't know what's going on with the fatigue. Maybe it'll all just take time.
