I did try L-lysine in combination with red marine algae. I started with 1500 mg

daily. and within a month raised the dose to 6000 mg a day . I did help with

stiffness and pain. But I got constipation that bothered me. So I stopped taking

it. The optimum dose is around 8000 mg a day. I used L-lysine made by " nature

made "  from walgreens or duen read pharmacy. My sister used l-lysine for her

mouth herpes without having problem with constipation. you  should try for

yourself and see what happanes. hope it helps.

hi saliha

i tried it last yr for 3 mos and it didn't do much for me so i stopped

it. near the end of taking it i seemed to get worse? hope it works for you.
