Guest guest
Hi and all, I remember feeling this frustration and sometimes am still baffled by the alphabet soup that gets tossed around. I'm going to start an acronym dictionary for NT & other dietary acronyms. When I get it done I think there is a way to upload it so it's available to all at (could the moderator please contact me about this). It will help though if you and anyone else out there who would like to help can send me 1) acronyms you've seen but don't know what they mean, and 2) any favorite acronym's you use (for all you acronym slingers out there)--I especially need help on the Fatty Acid stuff. Oh and please back channel all this info so we don't clutter up the list. My email address is @... -- P.S. I'm not a philosopher nor do I get bored on Friday nights, I just love anything that helps us all communicate better with each other -----Original Message----- From: leslieiniowa [mailto:mclcdcmcmc@...] Sent: Sunday, March 24, 2002 8:44 PM Subject: Acronym directory needed I have to guess that I am not the only newbie frustrated with the acronyms. Kind of >like saying " 50 MPH per hour. " SAD is also the acronym for Seasonal Affective Disorder, a depressive state affecting many in northern latitudes in winter. Its linked to short days, lack of sunlight and vitamin D deficiency. The D deficiencies that the SAD (Standard American Diet)has are answered by WAP and Sally's work. Easier to blame on nature than to look at the culture's diets that weren't affected by it historically. So the SAD (Standard American Diet) can make you SAD. Hi - I already sent a moderately-sized directory to the list this morning (maybe you haven't seen it yet). So it might be a good place to start and save you some time. I like the idea of uploading it (but where does one locate the uploaded list -- I've never learned about that)? -=mark=-
Guest guest
Hi Mark-- Yes I did see your message after I sent my message. I don't always read all the threads unless I have lots of time so I almost missed it because you sent the message without a subject line. I already started to transfer your list over to my document, thanks, what an awesome start and yes it will save lots of time. As for the uploading In Home page for Nourishing Traditions Group on the menu on the left there is a link for FILES right under CHAT and above PHOTOS. There are actually other documents there already. So once I get the list done I can put it up there and will notify the list. I'll try to stay on top of keeping it updated and adding any new acronyms that don't make the first go round. I see there is a way to send a document to all new subscribers so that is something the moderator may wish to do once I get the document done. Any other suggestions about how to make this the most useful for folks are most welcome. -- -----Original Message----- From: theta sigma [mailto:thetasig@...] Sent: Tuesday, March 26, 2002 2:51 PM Subject: RE: Acronym directory needed At 10:03 AM 3/26/2002 -0800, you wrote: >I'm going to start an acronym >dictionary for NT & other dietary acronyms.
