Guest guest
>Although this >study was done using subjects on T4-only, there is no reason to believe >it would not also apply to people on T3-only who have suppressed TSH. There are a lot of reasons for it not to apply to people with TSH suppressed by T3 or even natural. A dose of T4 which is enough to suppress TSH is almost certain to turn to RT3 eventually and that in itself stresses the heart if enough T4 is added to keep people feeling OK and also stresses the adrenals and I believe that has negative heart effects. Val's story about the T3 curing her congestive heart failure springs to mind, I would want to see a similar study done on people on Natural and/or T3 only before it would concern me. Guest guest
This makes the assumption, as endocrinologists usually do, that the post thyroid functions of peripheral metabolism and peripheral cellular hormone reception are working properly. A dysfunction in that realm treated with T4 to the point of clinical health will lower or suppress TSH. T3 does the same. One has to realize, which the endo-fools don't, that the TSH is removed from the reality of symptoms by three functions, the thyroid gland, the peripheral metabolism, and the peripheral cellular hormone reception. A true diagnostician would pick more universally relevant indicators and there are lots to pick from. One of the most notably missing indicators is the waste product of T3 from its use by the cells' nuclei. It has to go to the blood stream. It has to be removed by the kidneys. It is available in the blood and probably in the urine or feces. Simply amazing. The thyroid diangostics are akin to only checking the fuel gage to determine why the car won't run. MMMM Let's see. Oh yes, there is the fuel pump, the injectors, the ignition system, the battery, the starter, the computer, etc. Have a great day, > > >Although this > >study was done using subjects on T4-only, there is no reason to believe > >it would not also apply to people on T3-only who have suppressed TSH. > > There are a lot of reasons for it not to apply to people with TSH > suppressed by T3 or even natural. > > A dose of T4 which is enough to suppress TSH is almost certain to turn > to RT3 eventually and that in itself stresses the heart if enough T4 > is added to keep people feeling OK and also stresses the adrenals and > I believe that has negative heart effects. > > Val's story about the T3 curing her congestive heart failure springs > to mind, > > I would want to see a similar study done on people on Natural and/or > T3 only before it would concern me. > > Nick > > > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >
