As I understand it, we are not able to lose fat-soluble toxins such as those from pesticides, dioxins, and so on, but that they remain stored in the body fat more or less forever. Water-soluble toxins are passed out of the body through perspiration, breath and urine; fat-soluble toxins may pass out through the placenta and via mother's milk. That's it (and not too nice for the baby). So what exactly do these healthy raw fats do, and what is the mechanism? Also--the fact of the matter is that if I include many more fats in my diet, I gain weight. (I am not the exercising kind.) Any suggestions?
