My doctor prescribed Cytomel 50mcg per day (taking me off Synthroid all together

after being on that for 3 years from another doctor). But after reading other

posts will it do any good with my ferritin being so low? Also waiting for my

cortisol test to come back. Any ideas what I should do?

Current labs:

Ferritin 13.8 (ref range 7.0-238.0)

Free T4 .74 (ref range 0.58-1.64)

TSH 2.48 (ref range 0.30-4.20)

Free T3 2.46 (ref range 2.50-3.90)

RT3 224 (ref range 90-350)

Thanks!

Deanna

WOW 50mcg is WAY to hefty a dose to start with even wiht good levels btu

you could ask for a script of 5mcg tablets sdo you can build it up

slowly with your ferritin levels.
