Why did You get Hypothyroidism?

I am still not sure why I had it/still have it, but it could be either a blow to my head when I was 13-14 yo, or mercury poisoning from amalgam fillings.Now, does anyone here know if one can be mercury poisoned even if urine toxocology says I'm not? Like the mercury will go to the tissue and somehow to show up in the blood/urine?
