I have SD and for the alst 8-9 months my finger nails and bed nalis have been in

bas shape.

now my figer nails are yellow. does anybody have the same problem? does anybody

know what is the cause of yellow nails?

Hello,

I have psoriatic arthritis(?),. I have two toes on one foot where the nails are

white instead of yellow like yours, with the nails pointing up instead of

curving the nail bed any help for me would be great as well.

Hi kids with yellow nails.  The first thing I would think of would be some sort

of fungus.  And I would go to a podiatrist.  If insurance doesn't provvide for a

podiatrist, then go to any dollar store and see if you can pick up some tube of

antifungal cream and put it on and under the nails affected.  It takes a long

time to get rid of a fungal infection, so I would buy several tubes.  If it

doesn't clear up after a couple of months, then go to your Internal Medicine

doctor or General Practisioner and see what they have to say. There are other

good liquid products such as Lamisil,etc. But they also cost a bit more.  Try

that route and see what happens.  Let us all know the results. My best to you

HI All,

I don't know if this will help anyone....but while my mom was living with us and

suffering with cancer, the podiatrist assistant would visit her at home to do

her nails. Mom had developed this ugly fungus on her toe nails.

The assistant mentioned (as did the potiatrist) that to keep fungus from growing

on toenails (apparently we are all suspectible to this) to once a month wash the

feet with athlete's feet soap. According to him, this will keep the fungus from

growing on the feet/toe nails. I've never tried this, but someone out there may

have additional information on this. If someone does know about this... could

you post to help us out?
