my daughter is currently on 15 mcg of T3 (to raise tommorrow to 25 mcg of T3)..he is also on 2grains NT (tommorrow this will lower to 1 grain)...

in the past when on no T3 her ratio was 13 or 14 (tested 2 times)....her ferritin is good now and B12 is good now...both were low at one time

her doctor wants her to come in and have her RT3 tested again....what will this show if on T3 meds?? could it LOOK ok even though it is NOT really good ...i dont want her doctor to say Oh look her ratio is better now so we dont need to continue on T3..i am hoping to get her to let me take her to T3 only but i have to work her a bit...so i just need to know what to expect wtih the labs with her on both NT and T3....and how to argue my point to keep tapering off NT and stay on T3 only for 12 + weeks..

Yes unfortunately, the RT3 in the BLOOD leaves WEEKS before the

receptors clear. Once takign T3 it is a time thing and needs ot be at

least 12 weeks someotimes one week more or less, but 12 weeks seems ot

be the magic time frame for Rt3 to be cleared. BUT wiht her taking some

natural thyroid with it's T4 I really dont; knwo if you can tell. I

guess wait the 12 weeks and retest RT3.
