==>An article? I don't know whether I was referring to any particular

one, but there is a good article at www.westonaprice.org - it's under

Women's Health.

Interesting about possible Lyme/Osteo connection.

I missed this thread the first time around.

I thought one could never increase bone density once lost. Is this

another myth I fell prey to?

Also, fyi, in Overdosed America, The Broken Promise of American

Medicine, by Abramson, he has a chapter on Osteo- how the Medical

profession sells it like an ailment when it is really a natural

condition. (He explains why that is.) Also he discusses the various

pharmaceuticals we are given and why they can be detremental to health.

But losing bone density in one's 40's certainly sounds like a problem.

Hi Group,

With the latest development on osteoporosis drugs showing all sort of

detrimental and serious side effects

like osteonecrosis. Keep in mind the effective, safe and natural

treatment with strontium which has been

proven to work safely for 50 years.

My wife had to take prednisone for three years which is known to cause

osteoporosis. However, in her case,

she takes 600 mg strontium carbonate/day there is no change in bone density.

Read a full, reliable article on strontium at the following web site:

Be sure to copy and paste the site address into the browser since it

sooo long.

Good Luck,

Hi, . I've had three different doctors who recommended strontium

to me - as I have osteopenia. I've been taking regularly for a year now

(prior to that was irregular). I go for my DEXA this Monday - so will

be interesting to see the results.

Congratulations to your wife. My mom has osteoporosis BAD. sigh. No

signs of osteo at all until she rolled over in bed & her back bones

snapped. The severe dowager hump developed after a very short time

after the back breaks. This has been disabling & painful for her. What

a lesson for me, so I watch & try hard to avoid this fate.

One thing though - you are supposed to tell your DEXA technician that

you've been taking strontium.... they have to change how they read the

tests. So, on Monday, I will be telling them & hope that they know what

they are supposed to do! Here's a reference:

http://www.osteopenia3.com/Strontium-dexa-scan.html

There is a Strontium dexa scan connection and if you are taking

strontium, the person reading your dexa scan needs to know that so they

make the appropriate adjustment in reading your dexa scan.

I hadn't heard about the double calcium,, One thing I read is that we

aren't supposed to take strontium and calcium together at the same time

because strontium interferes with calcium. I've been taking strontium

early in the morning & wait a few hours before I begin multi dosing

calcium & mag.
