Guest guest
Hi , It looks like I'm going to have to bump up to 35 mg HC. Could you please tell me what dosing schedule you think is best? I am currently doing 10, 10, 5, 5. Also, I am on the brand of HC, which you've told me before is weaker than Cortef. Therefore if the 35 HC doesn't quite get me to where I need to be with my temps, should I bump it up to 37.5 to make up for the weakness in the brand? Thank you so much for your help! Guest guest
Hi , I'm not an expert on the dosing I'm curently trying to get down from 35mg to 30mg but why don't you try first going up with 2.5mg first and tehn go to 35. If you are not taking any bedtime dose you can just add 2.5mg to the bedtime and when the adrenal forum is open you sure get the help of the moderators. Guest guest
> > Can you wait till the weekend and post on the adrenal group please Sure. My apologies for not waiting. It's just that after not sleeping for THREE days due to adrenals going haywire for some reason and feeling pretty badly, I felt an immediate increase was warranted. And after doing a search through the archives and finding only a little info, I wasn't sure on dosing. But I suppose I should have just went with my best guess or stress dosing. > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > Thanks > > Nick > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >

Guest guest
Hi Milena, Thanks for your input. I guess I should have done that first but I was just so desperate to get my adrenals to settle back down again after not sleeping for so long. I feel so tired and wired, like adrenaline and cortisol are pumping through my veins! I was doing 10, 10, 5, and 5 at bedtime, so I just added another five at 7 pm. When I last tested, I had high morning and nighttime cortisol levels and I can just feel my cortisol levels rising in the evening because I suddenly have more energy and motivation, even after these last few days of not sleeping. So I felt like I needed to take another dose in the evening to try and suppress some of the cortisol output. I'm not sure if that was right but I felt like I had to do something. I probably need to raise my T3 too. My adrenals were fine for about a week when I increased to 30 mg but then my temps started dropping. So maybe the last increase made me more hypo. I've read that that can happen with each HC increase. Maybe this evening I should take your suggestion and try 2.5 for a 7 pm dose instead of the 5. I'm taking the brand, so maybe it would be better just to increase to 32.5 since Val says it's a little weaker than Cortef. Anyway, hope this made sense. I sure will be glad when my RT3 finally clears. Three more weeks to go! > > > > Hi , > > > > It looks like I'm going to have to bump up to 35 mg HC.
