Guest guest
Not everyone gets the mineralcorticoid effects from HC that is why they need the florinef. Medrol has even less of a mineralcorticoid effect which is why it is good for people with high aldosterone. Medrol is harder on the liver than HC which is why we prefer HC but HC doesn't work for everyone, either it doesn't last long enough or has to much of a mineralcorticoid effect. Both HC and medrol are corticosteriods. If HC has the corticosteroid why my sodium even on a florinef is still in the very low ranges 138? If corticosteroid effect from HC is cosing me the swelling shouldn't my sodium be much higher and from that to swell? I'm very sceptical about medrol because is not bioidentical and also isn't it harder to get of it comparing to HC? If the corticosteroid from HC is casing me the swelling, shouldn't getting of florinef do the trick? Thanks a lotMilena

Guest guest
For what it's worth, the higher my HC does, the worse my sodium and potassium labs got! Don't ask me why. Maybe taking HC lowered my aldoseterone by suppressing adrenals. At any rate, although I tested low in aldosertone from the beginning, I never really needed it, especially once I switched from Isocort to HC. I do fine fine with salt and it did make my fingers swell up. > > > > > > Not everyone gets the mineralcorticoid effects from HC that is why they need the florinef.
