Guest guest
, 50 mg minocycline capsules are sold by the Global Pharmaceuticals Division of Impax Laboratories, Inc. To the best of my knowledge, there have not been any reports on this brand to our Group in the past. Brand name Minocin by Lederle / Wyeth is pelleted. This is said to produce a beneficial time release effect. However, there is no conclusive evidence that pelleted is indeed better. Guest guest
Thanks, Harald. I infer from your msg that pelleted might indeed work differently (not necessarily 'better') than the powder capsules. I would think that the pelleted would produce more of a sustained release, whereas the powdered would be absorbed more rapidly by the body. (and since I started with the pelleted, I would like to find a 50 mg pelleted mino). Thanks for your info, and the very informative write-up on comparison of brands - Les Re: rheumatic Minocin discont'd; Global Pharm OK? , 50 mg minocycline capsules are sold by the Global Pharmaceuticals Division of Impax Laboratories, Inc.
