Guest guest
That is how mine would hurt when I still had a thyroid. I would get a pinching pain when I touched it, otherwise it would just hurt when I tried to swallow. Almost like if you eat dry bread to fast and it gets stuck, but would happen with anything including liquids. My pain would also come and go. If I touch it it hurts and very tender. No don't notice the electrical shocks in it. Doesn't look swollen, but maybe slightly when I touch it compared to the right side. I went to my primary, and he looked inside, it's not a sore throat. He said maybe I sprained it, but I haven't done anything to sprain it. It went away for awhile after staying with me for almost a week or 2. Now it started hurting again the other day. Liz,, when you say your "throat" is hurting, do you actually mean the back of the throat (on the inside), like it hurts when you have a bad cold? Or do you mean the front part of your neck? Is the area swollen and tender to the touch? Do you sometimes feel sharp little electrical shocks in it? Hashimotos is when your body has developed antibodies against your thyroid. I don't know it it ever goes into a true remission but is treatable by suppressing your thyroid function with thyroid meds. DONT let them take it out! I had mine removed due to Hashi's and regret it Kitty From: "starlightvisionsverizon (DOT) net" <starlightvisionsverizon (DOT) net>To: RT3_T3yahoogroups (DOT) comSent: Fri, April 23, 2010 6:59:47 PMSubject: Re: New Labs just came in/need some help interpertating them Trhank you terri, but what is actually hasmintos?? First off, you have Hashimoto's (TBO is 17) since you have thyroid antibodies. Your RT3 is 10.34 and it needs to be over 20. So you will need T3 only. You ferritin has come up, but you need to get it to the 70-90 range, so keep taking your iron. You will have to go up on the T3 slowly because the ferritin is low. Your FT3 is low and also suggests hypothyroid. So, continue with 150-200mg of elemental iron, wait for your saliva results because you want your cortisol levels to be stable before adding in the T3. Hope this helps!Terri From: Whitfield Sent: Friday, April 23, 2010 6:07 PM To: RT3_T3yahoogroups (DOT) com Subject: New Labs just came in/need some help interpertating them Here are my recent labs, please help me with these and what they mean? Guest guest
When the antibodies are active the tissue surrounding the organ gets irritated and hurts. I get the same pain now around my adrenal glands It isn't the the gland itself that hurts but the surrounding tissue.
