Guest guest
Hi all. These are just random unrelated questions that I have been keeping track of... 1. Val, is it ok to join the adrenals group in your signature link if you are not on natural thyroid? That seems to be a criteria according to the front page. 2. Someone about a week ago mentioned underarm soreness or lumps in relation to a Hashi's outbreak. I've never heard of this and would be interested to know more as I suffer from this from time to time but have tested negative for Hashi's antibodies (?). 3. is mentioned " air hunger " in a recent post. What is this related to? Too much T3? Too little? Just wondering as I have experienced what I think is the same thing. 4. What are the thoughts on a dosage of SRT3 of 37.5mcg for 50 days? I am working on low ferritin (18) with iron supps but am wondering if 37.5 is enough or should I order some T3 and increase/combine? Also, many thanks to all who answered about the giving blood with low ferritin and the green tea as an iron blocker! in LA
Guest guest
Hi Shelby, Regarding air hunger, that is from low T3. I have air hunger, and it is a major bummer. As for SRT3, I've heard the mods say they recommend regular T3 split in doses throughout the day rather than slow release T3, as the SRT3 seems weaker than the regular. Ferritin: your level is very, very low, and you likely should be on a much higher dosage of iron. Your ferritin needs to be above 50 before your system will utilize the T3 dosage, and needs to be between 70 and 90 overall. So, you need to get that ferritin level way up. I've seen the mods recommend working on getting ferritin to at least 50 before increasing T3. Pam > > Hi all. These are just random unrelated questions that I have been keeping track of... > > 1. Guest guest
Hello, I can answer some from being on this group and the advise given to me and what I've read given to others. 2. I used to have this but it wasn't related to thyroid, it was related to OTC underarm deodarant. It blocks you from sweating so you increase the toxic load in your lymph nodes. I use a fresh lemon and never had that occur again. 3. Air hunger - It feels like something big is sitting on your chest or like going deep underwater and feeling the pressure on your lungs. I had it, it is from being low thyroid. 4. What Val wrote to another member so will repeat it. You need the ferritin to be between 70 and 90 to utilize T3 w/o the bad symptoms. T3 will pool in the blood when ferritin is low. It cannot be utilized correctly so it sits there causing adrenal stress. Do not push raising T3 too fast. Ferritin is slow to come up. Some members do an IV to bring up ferritin to continue T3. Hope this helps you, > > Hi all. These are just random unrelated questions that I have been keeping track of... > > 1. Guest guest
Air hunger (feeling like you can't get enough air) is a classic hypo symptom. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/long-and-pathetic/ I have it, and it really limits my ability to be as active as I would like to be. It has improved somewhat as I continue to increase my T3 toward that (elusive) effective dose. > > Hi all. These are just random unrelated questions that I have been keeping track of... > > 1.
