Guest guest
I havn't been reading all the post on the is pasteurization milk really bad.... We came to an organic dairy farm last fall and watched an interview that the owners of this farm had about the processing of their milk. The proof was in the pictures on the screen. At that time they had just started processing their milk for the stores. Not all milk sells so the left over processed milk was given to the calves to save on cost. The calves were the skinnest things I have ever seen in calves. They were getting as much as they wanted and weren't growing much. After the owner read The Milk Book, they took the next batch of calves off of the processed stuff and what a huge difference. They have now even gone a step further and now are leaving the calves on the cows for at least 45 days, usally longer. If the calves can't grow and be healthy on the processed stuff, I really don't see how we can either!! Barb
