My son at 3 did not understand either, even at 4 yrs old i hoped he would

understand but he didn't. Yes my heart was broken and sadden again because I

really thought he would understand. This year we are 4 weeks into the diet

and he will be 5 just before christmas and I feel excited that he is already

saying I want this to every commercial that he see's with toys on TV. Makes

me want to run out and buy them all up But I know when Christmas comes he

will understand this year that Santa brings toys.(Hang in there thier is

hope ) Next year we will work on the true meaning of Christmas

To help my son better understand when santa comes i made a santa head

calendar. On each ribbon i tied snow ball cookies and after dinner we take

one of for each day. He gets so excited as he sees it is getting one day

closer to santa.
