Guest guest
I've been lurking the past couple of days-- we have five children, one of whom is currently dx'd w/ ADD. However, on both sides of the family are histories of celiac (on one side) and milk, corn and (mild) wheat allergies (on the other side). And, it seems to me that my son might as easily have Asperger's as ADD-- so we're giving the diet a try. Re. your son spending Christmas among people who do not respect his needs -- all I can think is, why are you worried about breaking *their* hearts? He needs to be in a place where HE gets to *celebrate* Christmas, not in a place where his relatives leave the equivalent of rat poison laying around for him, and then pooh-pooh the consequences. If they can't respect his need to be gfcf, then if I were you, I begin some family traditions for Christmas at home.
