Guest guest
Hi, despite being found to low in adrenal hormones and taking Hydr cort and DHEA and my adrenal hormones returning to normal my body still hasn't returned to anywhere near normal temperature. its Spring here in the UK and i still need to wear my thermals all day. i need them in bed with my extra quilts and i need to sleep with the electric blanket on all night! otherwise i wake up cold and cant get back to sleep again. i find once i start to lose heat in a cold room or outside despite the layers i need to return home and find a heat source and get warm again to feel anywhere near normal again. i'm on 100mcg T4. initially my Doc had me try T3 for failure to convert but it didn't help me. so i tried armour but felt really horrible if i got too hot and had to tear my clothes off to cool down and the feeling went. then i persuaded my primary doc to try t3 and t4 still not much difference. then about 3yrs ago i was reading about t3 and thought id give it a go on its own again i took 20mcg a day. amazingly i was having to throw off the blankets and take some layers off, i was sweating with all the heat. i felt i was getting back to normal. i was running out of t3 and went back to my GP to get some more. i took the t3 but the improvement in body temp ended and i went back to being cold all the time again. i have some naturethyroid ordered in case its armour i react to, but after reading some post here i think rt3 might be my problem. any suggestions? thanks. Guest guest
Yes two. Get updated labs for Cortiosl and FERRITIN. Those are the usual problems when T3 is not otlerated or does nto seem to work, But 20mcg is not enough for almost anyone. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
