I think I cleared about 10 days ago -- I had been up to 115 mcg of T3 per day. Had a day with racing heart and think that was clearing day. Since then, can only tolerate 65-75 mcg T3 per day and temps are higher -- although not perfect. Basal temps go between 97.1 -97.6 -- last 3days have been 97.6 - 97.8 (am currently ovulating). Temps do rise gradually through the day to 98.6 - 98.9 by mid-afternoon. They gradually fall to 98.2 - 98.4 by bedtime. Guest guest
Suzanne, I have used Cytomel (brand name) throughout this process. As far as how I dosed it, it was a process and a matter of trial and error. I had difficulty increasing doses due to increased heart rate at times. I would increase gradually and be fine for a week or so and then all of a sudden have increased bpm and have to decrease for a while and then stabilize again and gradually increase. About week 4 or so I added Dessicated Adrenal supplement (by Standard Process) to see if it was adrenals having trouble tolerating increases. This did seem to make a difference. I did finally reach about 115 mcg for the last week or two before clearance. I am continuing with the Dessicated Adrenal. I am now on 75 mcg Cytomel per day. I continue to be hopeful and feeling well. Basal temps have improved the last 4 days and daytime temps have continued to reach 98.6-98.8 by mid-day. Energy and sleep are great. I just feel good and am so grateful for Nick and Val's patience with all my many questions. I hope this information is helpful to others. Guest guest
Beth This is awesome.........I love to here about your journey. Thanks so much for posting. I am only at wk 6 and the clearing seems so far away it is nice to have hope. I unfortunately still don't sleep through the night. I am at 92.5 mcg of Cytomel dosed 5 times a day. I found I can't raise more than 5 mcg at a time every 5-7 days or I get kind of hyper and can't concentrate but other than that I feel ok. I usually go to bed about 8pm after taking my cytomel and 3mg of Melatonin and eating a high protein snack but still wake up 2-3:30am. I usually take some freeze dried liver capsules (a little extra iron never hurts) and most of the time fall back asleep within a half an hour. I get up at 4am regularly for my job so sometimes I can't or won't fall back asleep. I am longing for the day that I wake up to the alarm going off. I will get there....especially after reading your posts I have a renewed positive outlook. I still seem to be gaining weight but that I am not sure of......I refuse to step on the scale since it depresses me....but I did have to buy new jeans I am supporting my adrenals with Isocort taken with the cytomel. I am taking pills split like: 6/5/4/2 with none taken with the bedtime dose of cytomel. I tried it and I seem to have trouble getting to sleep and it didn't help me stay asleep so I dropped that dose. Thanks again for your post......I am in a better mood now! Wendi > > Suzanne, > I have used Cytomel (brand name) throughout this process. > > Take care, > Beth > > > > > ________________________________ > > To: RT3_T3 > Sent: Mon, April 26, 2010 6:51:27 PM > Subject: Re: Success story - I think? latest labs > >  > Beth do you mind telling me how you dosed t3 and what kind you were using?
