Guest guest
I'm hypothyroid with low adrenal function, and rT3, but haven't begun any treatment specifically for that yet as I can't seem to level out my body temp. It was averaging about 95.7 degrees and this week that has dropped to 94.5--average over 7 days. I am on Isocort 30/day, and just switched over to Porcine for the hypothyroid before learning about the rT3 condition through saliva testing. I have lab results coming soon, but the last ones show that I was low on Vit D and B. My adrenal test a few months ago shows that I basically have very very low adrenal function at all 4 testing times, and every test for the past year shows the same results. Physical symptoms are the usual, along with water retention, lethargy and foggy mind. No heart palpitations or anxiety or depression. I am a vegetarian; don't know if that plays a key role or not. My question is, how do I raise my adrenal function and my body temperature? Or, maybe they are the same thing? Thanks so much in advance! For a flat line low adrenal response you may well need to go onto a full replacement dose of HC rather than use Isocort. If you join the adrenal group http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ and post your last labs there they will give you dosing suggestions You can have a look through their web FAQ here http://faqhelp.webs.com/ Once temperatures are stable we can help with the T3 dosing here, have a look through our web site www.thyroid-rt3.com and feel free to ask questions Nick
