Such a warning not to self treat or buy prescription drugs is not for those who have found good doctors with an understanding of their need to have a T3 containing product (either synthetic or natural). The warning has been written for those who have been driven to self prescribing and self treating.

Perhaps it would have been more helpful had the writers of such a message made suggestions pertaining to all the associated conditions that go along with having the symptoms of hypothyroidism, which can stop levothyroxine from being properly absorbed into the cells. In many such cases, getting these conditions sorted could mean there may be no need to self prescribe and self treat with prescription drugs containing T3 hormone...and therefore, no need for such a dire warning.

Doctor Barry Durrant-Peatfield has almost completed his latest book . A book he felt driven to write for all patients throughout the world, because he has seen, first hand, through hundreds and hundreds of sufferers, the devastation that untreated hypothyroidism can, and does cause. He is one who refuses to turn his back on these folk and has dedicated his life to helping them. He knows that one day, he will no longer be able to do this, and has looked to the future into helping everybody who might find themselves left in such a terrible predicament. His latest book is TOTALLY dedicated to helping those patients who are being left with NO OTHER OPTION but to look after themselves and to self treat in order to regain their normal health - with the alternative of living their lives of total misery with all manner of debilitating symptoms - and perhaps being left to die.

Thank God for those great doctors who work tirelessly to help those suffering the symptoms of hypothyroidism. We need more understanding.
