I also have digestive (colitis) problems taking iron. I've asked the same

question about taking lactoferrin. I hope someone here knows or can do some

research on it. It's hard to find much on the net about it. Thanks.

Hi Bernard,

I've been trying to bring my daughter's iron levels up for a while - at one

point I tried Lactoferrin - but her iron levels dropped while using this on its

own. I don't know enough about it to have any idea why - on the plus side she

didn't catch any colds while she was taking it.

High dose biotin can help to keep candida under control, as can the mineral

molybdenum.

Have you tried the Blue Bonnet Iron or Jarrow's Ironsorb.

Hi Kitty,

Trying to learn here. My ferritin is low, too. If you don't mind my asking, why

is it that you can't supplement iron? I'm wondering if I shouldn't? What is

TIBC?

Thanks.

I would be careful with wikipedia. It is not always accurate.

An example:

experience with this that you can share?  all us low ferritin types would love

to know!  :-)
