Guest guest
HI Val, Back in January of this year I wrote asking about my RT3 issues with the following lab results: TSH 0.005 (0.450-4.500) uIU/mL FT4 1.65 (0.93-1.71) ng/dL RT3 312 (90-350) pg/mL FT3 4.5 (2.0-4.4) pg/mL I was asking if keeping my Naturethroid and just adding Cytomel would help. Your gracious response was yes and it was suggested that I add 25mcg. After reducing Naturethroid to 2 grains and adding just 10mcg of Cytomel, my most recent labs, as of last week, are as follows: TSH 0.006 (0.459 - 4.500) FT4 1.14 (0.92-1.77) RT3 260 (90-350) FT3 4.0 (2.0 - 4.4) The Hashi levels are still in the picture. My Ferritin is 171, Vit D is 50.0 My question today is, should I continue to increase the Cytomel to 25 mcg(I have a very short supply) or would staying at the same dose be ok? I truly appreciate your input and because of you I am feeling sooooo much better. Abundant Blessings,
Guest guest
You went form a ratio of 14.4 to 15.3 Not a significant improvement. Yoiu will need more than 25mcg of T3 a day I am afraid. You have reduced T4 below the point where it might be a cause of your high RT3 but yet it is still too high. This indicates another cause so going ot T3 only is what I would recommend and clearing it once & for all. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
