Guest guest Posted March 29, 2010 Report Share Posted March 29, 2010 I wasn't able to get an iron IV, but my doc. has given me an iron injection. They told me that each injection gives 100 units/mg(not sure) of iron. And as a comparison iron iv's give 200 per dose. So does anyone have experience with injection/iv with iron. and what can I expect my iron to increase by. My ferritin as of 2 weeks ago was 39. And I am getting the injections because even while I am supplementing with 100mg elemental iron/day, my ferritin is dropping.
