T3?

I am going crazy trying to figure out what my problem is. Is it possible that some people can't take T3 only? If my PB is okay then my heart rate is high in the 100's and if my heart rate is lower under 100 then my BP is up so high I feel like my head will explode. I know I'm still hypo and my temps ( 97.7 ) will not go up since I can't raise my T3 more than 75. I take one 25 in the morning and again later in the day and one at sleep, I hate to spread them out but I have to or my heart rate is even worse. It sounds like I'm taking too much but if I cut it down just a little I get extremely hypo and can't function because my moods are all over the place. I've taken test after test and have eliminated everything that I can imagine that could be the reason why I can't take any higher than 75 and still have a high heart rate at this level. What do I do from here? I want to get well but if my lab tests don't point to problem areas then why can't I take T3? If I never had a RT3 problem would taking T3 only matter? Or do you have to have a RT3 problem to only take it?I am now working on raising my Vit D and will test again in a few weeks. This was the only thing low from the last test. I'm getting so tired of this, I can't do any type of physical work at all. All I can do is sit and walk around the house and some days this wears me out. I used to be in great physical shape and had two kids after 40. I want to pin point the problem but how do I go about it?Oh yeah... I continue to salt like crazy with Celtic salt but don't add to water because it was causing me to bloat up. My last test for sodium and potassium was okay. I stopped the Adrenal supplements with Ginseng because I thought that was causing problems and I'm still the same.Sorry for such a long question... I'm just getting to the end of my patience because I want to feel better, I don't remember when I actually have felt good. Thanks, Louise H

This is just a thought as I am only in the beginnings of my treatment, I also take 75mcg of t3 but I spread that out to about 8 doses throughout the day. I know this sounds like a pain but if it works its easy to get use to. S

Thanks, but I tried this. I cut them in half and spread it out throughout the day and it didn't seem to help me. The morning pill gets me going and with only a half I was dragging and this was the same way all day long. I stayed on small portions for two weeks and just recently went back to the 3x day.

Only if something else is missing.

What is Ferritin doing??

Are your average temperatures stable from day to day? Have you taken

an adrenal saliva test?

The most common causes are adrenal or ferritin but there are others as

well

have you got any labs on 75?

I over dosed on iron because I thought my Ferritin was low and it ended up being too high. Yes I am pretty much stable with tempts and my cortisol is not low but normal during the day but high in the morning. I've been on 75 for about a year now and had test for this entire last year. I can't go higher on T3 and I've been feeling like I'm getting worse and not better. I know there must be something missing in this puzzle.I don't have my labs at this moment I'd have to dig them up. I'll post them later. I've been working on adrenals for the last 20 years so I believe this is not the problem. But, I do have high cortisol in the morning and I wake up feeling awful.

Louise, if your ferritin looks too high you should double check the iron panel

as ferritin can be elevated from inflammation.
