Dear Rod,

Thank you for your kind email! Its great to know you are doing well without the NHS! Thats so exciting you are about to start T3!!!

Thank you so much your support as well! I did think about reporting him but unfortunately he is the HEAD of the practice and quite an influential Doctor here in London.

Oh well..... still its brilliant to know I'm not alone!

Do let us all know how you get on with the T3!

Josie

Hi Josie,I'm a UK resident and haven't been to see my doc about my thyroid/adrenals for 3 years now. He's not bad, but just doesn't know about it, and the endo didn't know about it as well. My view is1. It's my body and I have the right to choose my own treatment. 2. I pay my taxes and so I feel that they work for me.3. The NHS must treat me if I fall ill, and I will not tolerate anyone treating me with disrespect. There are perfectly reasonable ways to convey a point across without being aggressive, and you might consider reporting him.4. As others have said, you can get blood tests done privately.I'm a little cross myself now -grrrr! They sound like a right bully. You are in the right, you've done nothing wrong and at the end of the day it's you that has to live in your body, not them. We're here to support you, whatever the doc says. I'm just about to start my own RT3 treatment, my T3 arrived today. Fingers crossed.Rod>> > Hi ,> > Thank you for that, thats made me feel a lot better to know they can't really refuse to treat me! > > > > Ok then probably best then to get my dad to go with me! I felt like saying to my Dr. 'Well what would you do if your child was this ill and was told by EVERY doctor to JUST LIVE WITH IT surely you would go anywhere, try everything, pay any amount of money to get them better'> > Wished in hindsight I had said that instead of crying!> > > > Thanks good luck with your journey to health> > Josie > > >
