Guest guest
Hi Cooky,  Good to read about the positive effects of the bio idential hormones for you.  I was thinking that getting off of them last Summer is what threw me into a flare-up of my RA, but I've been back on them (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone), for 2 months now, and I don't see any improvement.  I do sleep better though, so that in itself is a benefit, eh? BTW, I just had a mammogram, and everything was good, so they haven't affected me negatively.  Ana From: Cooky Stonkey <cookee1@...> Subject: rheumatic bio identical hormones " rheumatic " <rheumatic > Date: Sunday, January 30, 2011, 9:05 AM  Hi everyone, This is for anyone on biodentical hormones. With the advent of my flare last year I became so very tired. Nothing helped. I had to push myself to get OOB anytime. Last month my muscles became weak and weeks ago I tried to do exercises and my muscles shook and I got nauseated. I really thot I had MS. During the last few years my doc has been doing hormone testing and has encouraged me to increase DHEA and Progesterone. I only use these 2 creams once a day. I kept trying to use more but my breasts (hope it's OK to say this) would increase and hurt on the sides. With the increase of progesterone I would get crabby and cry a lot. One night I was going over papers I had on the hormones and a light bulb went off. That night I used all my hormones and in the morning I used them all again. I woke up refreshed the next day! It has been about 5 days and today I did 3 songs of (exercise tape) in a row without stopping to rest. I got up perky this morning and started working right away. No pain in breasts or increase in size. This is so amazing to me. I feel so good. I still do not sleep thru the night (darn) but I wake up ready to go. I do still get tired about 9:30. So I am just passing this along for anyone who uses cream bioidenticals and are feeling tired or have fibro (I think this may help it) The symptoms of fibro I get are the ones that hit suddenly as tiredness with muscle pain in neck upper back and hips. Lasts anywhere up to 3 weeks. So I am waiting to see what happens. Hope this helps someone. cooky

Guest guest
Ana, That’s good that you sleep better. I would love that. I don’t think you will have any problems with bio idents. Flare’s take a long time to get out of especially (I am finding) when you have been on antibiotics for a long time. It will be a year in March for me and I am finally getting days of no pain in a lot of the joints. Hope you feel better soon. cooky From: rheumatic [mailto:rheumatic ] On Behalf Of Ana Willson Hi Cooky, Good to read about the positive effects of the bio idential hormones for you. Guest guest
Yes. I had a rash on my ankle(not a bulls eye) and had the lab where I worked do a test. It was positive. When I saw the high mucky muck lymes expert of Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh he said it was a false positive. This was before I had any rheumatoid symptoms and about 20 yrs ago (wow time flies). Guest guest
I asked because your symptoms sounded like Lyme's to me. Guest guest
I'm pretty typical of fibro and RA. If things don't get better soon I will look into getting tested for Lymes again. Thanks, cooky From: rheumatic [mailto:rheumatic ] On Behalf Of ehgooding I asked because your symptoms sounded like Lyme's to me.
