Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement, ! I've been needing it this morning as the further I get from my last dose of Effexor, the more I can feel my fibro reappearing. : ( It is really discouraging because I had been feeling so great with my RA and Psoriatic arthritis causing very little trouble now. I had actually been off the pain pills, too, but I've gone back to using them now and then now that I'm off of the Effexor. My family doc was afraid this would happen, and of course, she doesn't really have any faith in AP though she knows my AP doc well enough not to interfere. However, she is the same doc that insisted there was no record of any kind of Effexor causing weight gain, but by the time I had gained 40 pounds, I had had enough, researched it myself, and found all kinds of evidence showing weight gain as a side effect. I'm praying the fibro doesn't get so bad that it interferes with my attempts to get into shape. I'm still on AP taking 200mg minocycline and 250mg azithromycin daily. I don't think my doc knows about pulsing, but I've done a bit of it just because I tend to be forgetful. LOL Sorry it took so long to reply. Just got power back this morning after Hurricane Ike hit the Midwest on Sunday. Blessings! I took doxycycline and it did help. My RA is almost 0 now and CFS/Fibro did improve. My dr does not want me on it all the time, so a spell here and there. I took each dose at different times, skipped days etc and it really did work. Good luck with trying this! Doxy was cheap and has little side affects...... Guest guest
Hi Terri, Why did you stop the effxor? Weight gain?? If so Cymbalta actually helped me loose weight and effexor made me gain also. Cymbalta also take the fibro pain away. I stopped cymbalta because I thot it made me mentally worse but I restarted when I found something else was causing my problems. It definitely makes me feel better fibro wise. Off it I am so sore all over and I am on Minocin. Mino put my RA in remission and stopped some of the fibro but I still get achy more days than not when I am not on cymbalta. I take Ultram for my achiness but it doesn't always work. I just exercise on good days. Good luck. cooky Subject: RE: rheumatic fibro question- Thanks for the encouragement, !
