Guest guest
The article several times mentions Floradix, which I believe is a liquid iron supplement. Janie did a TalkShoe program in which she said she'd used liquid iron and doesn't recommend it at all because it stains the teeth, turning them dark. I believe she also put this info on the STTM site under "ferritin." I'd been about to order some till I read this. I didn't know liquid chlorophyll raised iron, but if so, that's great. It's not bad at all if mixed into fruit juice diluted with water (I dilute mine to decrease the sweetness). Peggy Just thought I'd share this page with anyone who is trying to raise their ferritin,as it offers several suggestions that may be helpful(the article is for low iron in pregnancy but still useful to anyone I would think). I am going to ask my midwife about taking liquid chlorophyll and I like the suggestion of cooking in cast iron; seems to work for those who use it. Also a nettle infusion or tea is supposed to be rich in iron:http://www.mothering.com/discussions/archive/index.php/t-739312.html in CA
Guest guest
Floradix stained my teeth terribly, not to mention my ferritin remained obnoxiously low, though it may work well for others. I've taken liquid chlorophyl as well, I hope it works for you, it did not raise my ferritin. I suspect I'm an unusual case. > > The article several times mentions Floradix, which I believe is a liquid iron supplement. Guest guest
I'm not saying chlorophyll won't help to raise iron levels - but it doesn't make sense. People say that chlorophyll is like the plant's haemoglobin, but it is a magnesium based compound, not iron based, so it should be good to boost magnesium levels...
