Hi Roni

Thank you for the sharing your information.I did

combination of Clindy and minocine for 3 months,

didn't get noticable result. How long did it take you

to see improvement after taking minocin and

Metronidazole?

I have yeast infection even before starting AP. it

would come and go by itself. now I have it and doesn't

go away. i am taking probiotic 2 tablet a day. Do you

recommend any probiotic brand and its dose?

Thank you

Hi Soheila;

No probiotic will make the yeast go away. For that you must get an

anti fungal.Probiotics can only help prevent the problem. Lynne

Hi Soheila,

I am sorry that you have a yeast infection now. Taking the antibiotics along

with the yeast infection is not going to make the yeast go away or help it go

away. You need to ask your doctor for a script of medication to fight the yeast.

Whenever I had a yeast infection my doctor made me stop the antibiotics until

the yeast infection went away. I never had a relapse doing that. Doing this made

it easier and quicker to get rid of the yeast. You need a healthy gut to get

well. Yeast doesn't help keep your get well.

I also took oil of oregano, not at the same time, but on the same days that I

was taking the yeast prescription to help get rid of it. Oil of Oregano is a

natural antibiotic.

No probiotic will get rid of the yeast by itself. You do need som other support

with that.

When I was fighting the C.Diff infection I found a product from Genestra Brands,

made by Seroyal. It is supposedly only available from a doctor, but I found it

on the website below. Bought it direct from them.

http://www.naturallyempowered.com/html/products/pharmacy/super.html

This brand of probiotics I have found to be very effective. Initially, with the

C.Diff, I drank a packet of probiotics a day for 2 weeks. This helped repopulate

the good bacteria. Now I have switched to 1/2 teaspoon 2x a day.

My doctor also had me on Florastor, which is good, but personally I like the

Genestra Brands better. All probiotics are alike in effectiveness, so you want

to make sure you probiotic is up to what you need for it to do.

My family doctor tested me every 3 months when I started the mino and

Metronidazole. It was the first 3 month period that I began to get results. It

is when he added the Clindy that I got into trouble with the C.Diff.

My Scleroderma numbers droped to 80, using the mino and Metronidazole. Due to

the stress of taking care of a terminally ill mother caused my numbers to shoot

up.

My rheumtologist will have me start on mino in the a.m. and doxy in the p.m.

this week. I'm hoping that this gets me back to low numbers and then a normal

read.

Hope you are on the road to getting rid of this yucky stuff!

Roni
