Guest guest
I've had two iron IV's and will have a third today, all to raise my ferritin which is currently 25. This morning I switched from SR T3 to Cytomel. I've had only 15 mcg so far, spread out over 5 hours. I notice that I'm feeling weird--just listening to the radio makes me jittery. I checked my temp, pulse, and bp. My bp normally runs around 130/60--now it's 177/70. My pulse normally runs around 60--it's now 68. And my temp is usually slightly below normal, but it's been slightly above normal today--now it's 98.9. I don't mind any of this except feeling jittery, which is unusual and uncomfortable. The doctor said I'd have enough iron in my system by now to handle the T3. Does my description sound like hyperthyroid symptoms? If so, do I stop the T3 and go back to SR? Or increase HC, which currently is at 5 mg twice a day? I'm not at all sure what to do, but I don't want to stay like this. Thanks for any words of wisdom--I appreciate any help with this.
