Guest guest
I don't know that much, but it seems to me like that is a pretty low dose of Cortef. When you say you were on 5,3,2,1 of Isocort is that pellets? Each pellet of Isocort has about 2.5 mg of Cortisol, which means you were on 25 mg of Cortisol. 15 mg of Cortef seems low to me. Did someone suggest that dose? I thought that you shouldn't start any lower than 20 mg on Cortef. I am definitely no expert though. I'm just trying to figure this all out for myself. Hopefully one of the moderators will chime in. Have you looked at the adrenals forum to see if there are suggestions for transitioning from Isocort to Cortef? Good luck...migraines are the worst. --Steph > > I started Cortef last night with 2.5mg. I took the rest today (7.5mg, 2.5mg, 2.5mg). I had been on Isocort for over 100+ days. I just stopped taking it but with yet ANOTHER ocular migraine, I am thinking I need to add it back into my routine and wean off of it... I was taking 5,3,2,1. Could someone please give me a suggestion as this is extremely painful & this is the only new thing I have done... Well, not take T3 today but this happened yesterday.. >

Guest guest
I think you just need more Cortef. Probably 7.5 5 5 2.5 would be better -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
