Guest guest
Leoni, the gastritis is the result of your disease. Take a proton pump inhibitor such as Prevacid when this occurs and never stop the Minocin. Take it from one who has been thru it. I feel as sick as a dog on it. Is it worth staying on it, or should i give up? I'm trying to heal my gut, not make it worse. But maybe it doesn't matter if the Mino is helping my RA ? Has anyone had this problem ? best, Leonie
Guest guest
Try eating something before you take Mino. This is what a Gasto friend told me to always eat something before you take any antibiotics. I know all the instructions that we always get with antibiotics not to eat anything for two hours before or after taking antibiotics but that does not apply with Mino or some antibiotics. You could develop coilitis with Mino if you take it for a long time but you always reduce your chances if you eat something with Mino. Hope that is clear. Good luck to you all From: mumpup2000 <leoniecent@...> Subject: rheumatic gastritis on Mino? rheumatic Date: Friday, March 20, 2009, 12:59 AM Hi all, The Mino is giving me bad gut problems which i think is gastritis. Guest guest
Many people have gastritis problem with any type of antibiotic. I didn't have any problem with my stomach until I started minocin. It was horrible after 3 months I got used to it. A friend of mine still suffer from the stomach problem after more than one year of being on minocin. soheila From: mumpup2000 <leoniecentbigpond (DOT) com> Subject: rheumatic gastritis on Mino? rheumatic@grou ps.com Date: Friday, March 20, 2009, 3:59 AM Hi all, The Mino is giving me bad gut problems which i think is gastritis. Guest guest
Try drinking some broth or eating some jello before taking the pill. They say to take it with lots of fluids. Also try the probiotics, although I don't know how close to the antibiotic dosing that should be taken. It has been a long time since I have had to take anything. My indigestion, heartburn, regurge seems to have resolved all by itself. Maybe with less micoplasmas, I am healing. Hope so!
